I listened to every person on how Edward looked. I decided, after several hours of not being able to sleep, that he needed to be re-done. I redid his eyes almost completely, added eyelashes (No one noticed... >.> ), re-did his hair for the most part and added color. I also redid his shirt because it seemed so... BLAH to me. I made his eyes more brown too...
OK, I just want to know if it's just me but,.... doesn't he look really sad in the picture? I nearly cried while looking at my own artwork! He just looks so sad... and alone.... *sniffle* I LOVE YOU EDWARD!!!
FOR THOSE THAT DON'T FULL VIEW, YOU'RE MISSING OUT!!!!!!!!!
Material- Adobe XD
Time- about 3 hours original, 1 hour revision
Subject- Johnny Depp
I like this. it doesn't look so much like Johnny Depp, which I think adds to the overall effect.
you did really well on the scars. and the eyes too. the brown is subtle, but very (for lack of a better word) beautiful.
and yes, he does look sad. very abandoned, or even betrayed.
In the reference I used for the original, he looked sorta sad, but... I can't explain the other emotion.. sorta a mix between serious and bemused. Well, when I did the revision, I worked a lot on his eyes and it sorta came out really sad looking. When I saw that, I added a tad bit more shine to look sorta teary. ^_^ so, half intention, half accident.

My FIRST portrait to showcase real emotion, actually. I suck at portraits unless I sit down for hours at a time, post it for others to critique the crap outta it, then revise most of it. This is the only one I actually did that for. I should do that for my other two... >.>...
It doesn't look like Johnny? Well.. I guess that's due to the color. The old, black and white one looked more like Johnny because you could see the fine definition in his cheekbones. Aw well... can't have it all.
Thank you! I thought the scars would look cartoonish... I did them how I would on an anime character then blurred the dark lines out to blend and it actually worked! I swear, my best stuff is by accident. Thank you for your comment!!!!!!

Hmmmmmmm.... >.>... I'll try something and see how it looks. I kept the layered version in case I wanted to revise something else.. I'll fill it in with some light coloring and see what happens. Thank you for your comment!

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
